Cindy Hayen, PhD, RP, psychotherapist and counsellor
The single most important decision to make in pursuing therapy is choosing a therapist who will be the right fit for you. My therapeutic approach is very individual and client-focused. I believe that the biggest factor influencing a successful outcome of therapy is the quality of the relationship that exists between therapist and client. I strive to create a warm, caring, non-judgmental, healing space in which clients feel understood and safe to explore those matters which are of concern to them.
In addition to finding relief from symptoms such as anxiety and depression, I believe it is also necessary to look at the source of those symptoms. Not doing so would be akin to treating a physical ailment without looking for the cause. It is from this deeper work that lasting change and growth can come. As a depth-oriented psychotherapist, I work with people to gain insight, find meaning in their lives, and find more effective ways of being and relating to others. It is through this process that change, growth, and wholeness result. We all want happier, more fulfilling lives. I will help you work toward your goals.
